Rob Berrington — Nootropics and The Nootropic Multi

With Rob Berrington — Nootropics and The Nootropic Multi

In short

Rob Berrington, a biochemistry graduate who has spent his adult life formulating supplements, explains what a nootropic actually is, why his multi uses only endogenous nutrients rather than herbs or stimulants, and how the teal, purple and gold versions differ. Also covered: taking it on an empty stomach, the three-month window, and the sleep and gut formulas in development.

Who is Rob Berrington and what got him interested in nutrition in the first place?

He studied biochemistry and has developed supplements throughout his adult life. The interest started at home: a grandfather brewing kombucha in his garage, a mother who tried different diets and avoided giving her children pharmaceuticals. He also describes himself as a fairly depressed, anxious child, which drew him to the brain and the human condition.

What does the word nootropic actually mean?

It comes from the Greek "nous", meaning mind, and "tropein", to bend or turn, so a nootropic is anything that has an effect on cognitive function. Berrington notes there are pharmaceutical, psychedelic and herbal nootropics such as ginkgo biloba; his is a nootropic multivitamin for brain and body.

How do you cut through rows and rows of supplements on a pharmacy shelf?

Berrington favours a reductionist approach: a multivitamin in the morning and magnesium at night covers most bases. Having previously formulated products for gym-goers, liver cleansing, hormones and calcium-magnesium, he tried to compress as much as possible into as few capsules as he could, settling on three rather than the two he wanted.

Shouldn't you get all your nutrition from food rather than pills?

He agrees in principle — a supplement is by definition in addition to a healthy diet — but points to inherited metabolic errors. Some people have an MTHFR gene mutation and cannot use folic acid efficiently, which affects hormone and neurotransmitter metabolism, so he uses 5-methyltetrahydrofolate, essentially activated folic acid, instead.

Why are there no herbs in the product?

Because herbs can stimulate or depress biochemical pathways and some people react badly to them. He uses endogenous nutrients only — things already found in the body — with no stimulants or depressants, on the logic that if you supply raw materials the body's own intelligence decides what to do with them.

How did a small supplement business survive the COVID period?

Interest grew rather than collapsed. Several ingredients already in the formula — N-acetyl cysteine, which he describes as a mucolytic, antiviral and immune booster, plus vitamin D and zinc — were what people were coming in asking about. He also notes the business is still in research and development, so there was no large operation to cut.

What is the difference between the teal, purple and gold versions?

All share roughly 24 base ingredients with one ingredient changed. Teal is the calming one, containing carnosine, and people commonly report better sleep. Purple has carnosine plus L-carnitine and is more energising and focus-oriented. Gold contains DMAE, an old-school nootropic, and is described as uplifting and more immediately felt.

How should it be taken, and how long before you can judge it?

On an empty stomach or with carbohydrates, but not with a protein meal, because the amino acids in it compete with dietary protein for crossing the blood-brain barrier. He recommends taking it correctly for three consecutive months, in which time a person should be able to tell which version suits them.

What is he working on next?

A sleep formula, several years in development and due within about two months, built without herbs, valerian or melatonin and using magnesium plus ingredients from the multi. After that a gut formula containing N-acetyl D-glucosamine. He also plans to move out of R&D, do more counselling and start a podcast.

In their words

Taken from the recording, word for word.

I just really love how you can see from the structure of the different molecules how they might react in the body and how changing the structure of a particular molecule would change its effect.

— Rob Berrington

I've taken ingredients that have the most effect and are needed in the smallest amounts.

— Rob Berrington

There's no herbs in our products because herbs can stimulate or depress various biochemical pathways and some people have side effects to certain herbs.

— Rob Berrington

I've had people come off of Ritalin in a week, you know, and I'm not specifically promoting it as such, but these are the kind of things that have happened.

— Rob Berrington

We live in a culture where you can't really make claims unless you're a doctor or a pharmacist.

Key takeaways

  1. A nootropic is simply anything that affects cognitive function, and it can be pharmaceutical, psychedelic, herbal or, in this case, a multivitamin.
  2. Berrington's formulating rule is to use ingredients that have a large effect at small doses, because anything needed in gram amounts will not fit in a capsule.
  3. Because some people carry an MTHFR mutation and cannot use folic acid efficiently, the formula uses activated folate instead.
  4. Everything in the range is endogenous — no herbs, no stimulants, no depressants — on the principle that the body will use raw materials as it needs them.
  5. Taking it with a protein meal may blunt the effect, since the amino acids compete for transport across the blood-brain barrier.
  6. The reported benefits are anecdotal feedback from customers, and Berrington is explicit that he is not in a position to make clinical claims.

Show notes

The state of your body affects the state of your mind. To optimize cognitive ability, it is important to go back to basics and supplement foundational nutrition for your nervous system.

Equilibrium is defined as 1) metabolic balance within a cell or the body 2) a state of balance between forces 3) emotional and psychological stability. Designed to restore equilibrium, The Nootropic Multi helps optimize your body so that your natural brilliance can shine through.

Nootropic means "mind bender," and is the name given to a class of compounds which have an effect on one's cognitive function. The Nootropic Multi is a next-generation nootropic that provides pure, wholesome nourishment for your grey matter.

Life, in many ways, is a mind game. Gaining full sovereignty over your own mind is one of the most important things you could do to improve the quality of your life. This nootropic has been carefully crafted over the course of 25 years to assist you in reaching your full cognitive and emotional potential.

The health of your body and the health of your mind are intertwined. The health of your body, the state of your mind and your perceptions determine the quality of your life.

Just like oxygen and water, the ingredients of The Nootropic Multi are essential to the functioning of your body and brain.
It contains a concentration of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and a blend of smart nutrients, supercharged for enhanced bioavailability.

Frequently asked questions

Where can you buy it and contact him?

Through thenootropicmulti.com. Berrington says he is happy to answer emails or take phone calls directly, and can be reached via the website.

Is it suitable for children or older people?

He designed it to be safe and effective for all ages, and says it has been used by people as young as two and as old as 94.

Does the coming sleep formula contain melatonin?

No. Like the rest of the range it is endogenous, so no valerian and no melatonin. It uses magnesium and several ingredients drawn from the multivitamin, and is designed to work alongside the morning multi.

Why do some people say they feel nothing from it?

He says the effect is subtle and cumulative, like not noticing weight gain in the mirror. When questioned, the same people often report better sleep and improved mood. Taking it with protein can also mask the effect.

What will his podcast be about?

His first recording is with a friend, Pierre, who does live blood analysis and works closely with people. The topic is the liver and how it relates to mental illness and psychosis.

change makers from around the world hear stories of hope and inspiration to help motivate people like you to live your life find your passion passion and live your dream together we can all bring positive change to our world now here's your host David Watts once again it is what's involved special guest we've had we've had him on before but that was that was a while ago and a lot I think has happened since then who am I talking about I am talking about the founder of the new atropic multi he is Rob Berington hello Rob how you doing how are you I'm good thanks always good so as I said in the intro we have talked to you before but that was that was a while ago I mean that was sick what was was it two more than two years ago I think that we are so for those people who have no idea who Rob Berington is and what the new atropic multi is let's start at the very beginning talk to me a little bit about about Rob himself well I studied biochemistry I've always had a love for nutrition and I've been developing supplements my whole adult life really and yeah that's pretty much what I do I make supplements for body and brain okay now you say you were interested in this in your whole life but now what sparked this interest on in terms of healthy living what you put into your body etc etc well my grandfather probably started he was growing kombucha many many years ago I remember floating in a jar of liquid in his garage and he was into the alternative health so from from a grandfather side and then my mom was often doing different diets and she was she never got giving us a pharmaceutical so I didn't grow up with medication a lot so it's just more from that sort of side and then I guess from from the tropic to brain sort of side I guess I was quite a depressed sort of child bit of anxiety so I've always been interested in how to how to the world a human mind the human condition the brain anxiety depression always been of interest to me and why we are as humans the way we are slightly flawed I like I like that slightly flawed people who know me would say more than slightly flawed but what's the old saying blessed or the cracked for it is they who let in the light so you know we'll go we'll go with that one now so for somebody who meets you now and chats to you now when you say that that you know as a kid you kind of you know went went quite the health issues etc etc and particularly in terms of your your self-confidence how has that changed I mean can you attribute that to to something that you've done well I think I think it's I think it's a puzzle piece I think it's a formula it's a recipe so I don't think it's any one thing certainly I would say the new topic has that has massively changed my life how I respond and therefore really who I am but it's everything it's diet it's exercise it's getting out into the Sun it's it's being connected with ones in a call and just trying to be a nice person so there's a lot of things that have helped me along the line relationships I would say is probably being one of the bigger ones you know so there's a lot and I've been working on myself constantly I read a lot I've yeah it's just what I do that's what I focus on awesome okay again I mean when I meet you and you've known each other for a while now you look one of the most calm laid-back kind of yeah yeah dare dare I say this a modern-day hippie top because I mean you don't dress like that and go so I'll look at the mountain but you have this very calm demeanor and you you should have say that you've been working on yourself but in terms of this why biochemistry did you did you want to heal the world or blow the world up I think biochemistry was just something that I've always enjoyed when I was at school biology was my favorite subject and in that I would say biochemistry and then when it was time to go to university it was like well there wasn't really a question as to whether what I was gonna do it was okay you're gonna go to university but it was a question as to what am I gonna do and I didn't have much thinking in terms of what's gonna make me money or I just was like okay university let's find out more about by chemistry I really did by chemistry is alchemy and I just really love how you can see from the structure of the different molecules how they might react in the body and how changing the structure of a particular molecule would change its effect so it's just something I've always been fascinated in I don't think I went into it with any preconceived ideas as to what I want to do perhaps a bit naive but yeah so I studied biochemistry and then I guess at one point I just I've always liked you to find answers to problems and make solutions to things and I started with this new topic when I was still in varsity and it started off as a multivitamin that I've designed to cover all bases and make things simple for people so that they didn't have to do all of the research and understand all of the things that a supplement designer might know and so yeah I just started making it as a solution to the very many products that one finds on the shelves and what should one take what is good what isn't good so I just try to simplify the way that I best understood to do that okay now we talk new topics and a lot of people I know that are listening now are gonna go new a what so it should define new a tropic to me what what is that all about so new traffic comes from the Greek word news which means mind and tropine I hope I'm pronouncing that correctly which means to bend or turn so a new tropic is a something that has an effect on your cognitive function so this is a new tropic multi so it's a multi-purpose multivitamin so it's good for your brain it's good for your body yeah so there's different types of new tropics on the world you'll get your pharmaceutical style of new tropics you get your psychedelic new tropics as of course have an effect on your mind you can get herbal new tropics jingle biloba which has an effect on your brain there's all sorts of different types in topics so this is a tropic multivitamin and it contains endogenous nutrients so what I've what I've put together is nutrients that are already found in your body there's nothing foreign to your body and I've designed it so as to be safe and effective for all ages and I've used it on two-year-olds and as as old as 94 year olds have used the new tropic multi was good this is this is fascinating and it's one of those things that I mean you and I can talk about this all day but what we're gonna do right now is we're gonna have a break and then when we come back we'll find out more about new tropics and multivitamins and what did you say endogenous we'll talk about that too these are big words you can see is a biochemist this is what's involved my special guest is Rob Barrington from the new tropic multi we will be back in just a bit you're listening to what's involved with David Watts have you been to our website check it out www.what'sinvolved.com and while you're there click on the coffee mug icon and buy David a cup of coffee they'll love it and we're back with my guest Rob Barrington the new tropic multi so just before the break Rob we were talking about the fact that you wanted to only put good stuff into your body and you mentioned as well that there's like I mean if you walk into a pharmacy these days I think the the sort of selection of multivitamins and additives and this is and that is far greater than the actual medicines that they have there and every day you're seeing something that says take this pill to make you feel better take this and your brain will will kick into overdrive and you know we see these adverts for these these sort of smart drugs as they're called and and that's gonna do remarkable things there was a movie a little while ago as well where these guys pop this pull and then they became a he became like a genius etc etc and there's a lot of chemicals there there's a lot of what I would call natural stuff I mean there's this quite some research that I believe has been done on the various kinds of mushrooms turkey tail lions mane etc etc if I stood in a vitamin sort of aisle in a pharmacy I would be totally lost because you know somebody says well you got to take magnesium anybody somebody else says no you got to have a lot of vitamin C then somebody else says no but it's vitamin B but you can't just take any kind of vitamin B and so on and so forth so how have you demystified this with your product so part of what I do is I work in the health industry so I've been working in health shops my large part of my life and I've always tried to make things very simple for people because as you say it is exactly like that to walk in and you've got rows and rows of stuff so I've always liked the reductionist approach so how I generally approach health and well-being is to supply a multivitamin in the morning and then a magnesium at night and I found if you do that you're covering most of the bases so let's be in the general approach make it as simple as possible then I simpler and cover as many bases as possible so what I've done with the new tropic multi is I've developed lots of different products throughout the years I've developed products for gym goers I've developed liver cleansers I've developed hormone products multivitamin calcium magnesiums all sorts and what I've tried to do is put it all in one product because I myself have a range of supplements in my kitchen that I use a whole bunch and a lot of people have cupboards and cupboards full of supplements and don't you so I've just tried to put everything I can into as few capsules as possible which ideally would have been two but I've gone with three capsules to put in as much as I can and I've tried as much as possible to cover as many bases and put in the latest how should we put it breakthroughs in terms of nutrition there's a lot of things that have been discovered in the field of nutritional biochemistry of late and I've tried to incorporate all of those into this new topic and I don't know that that's really done in the way that I've put it together okay now you're gonna get those naysayers Robert they're gonna turn around and they're gonna say - yes but you should actually be able to get all the nutrition you need from the food you eat how do you answer that 100% well I'm always for diet and exercise but supplement by definition is in addition to so what does it mean it's in addition to a healthy diet and true to a degree I do think there are certain metabolic errors that we are born with for example some people have what's called an MTHR gene mutation and without getting too complicated what that means is that your body cannot effectively or efficiently use folic acid so folic acid is responsible for the metabolism all sorts of compounds in your body your sex hormones your steroid hormones estrogen testosterone adrenaline or adrenaline dopamine so if your folic acid metabolism is not as efficient as it should be all of the metabolism all of the hormones and neurotransmitters will be affected and of course that does have an effect on one's sense of well-being one's general outlook on life so what I've put in for example and in this product is something called five methyl tetrahydrofolate instead of regular folic acid because a lot of people cannot use that folic acid so the five methyl tetrahydrofolate which is basically activated folic acid can be used directly by the individual so that's one of the examples of some of some of the things that are put in there to bypass certain errors metabolic errors that an individual might have all right fair enough now we're not just going back to where I was saying to you know we should get enough vitamins etc etc from our diets I expected you to go yes but we don't so well done for you are not taking the obvious but surely if we look at how things have changed over the years you know what our grandparents used to eat as good vegetables for example and what we generally eat today are two totally different things well I think I think the other thing is also it's not so much about just general health to me it's about optimal nutrition it's it's about how good can you be so to supercharge the body so that you've got even more mental energy available to you to be more focused on your job to be more creative to have less of that noise in one's head so so for me it's really about optimizing the human condition yes it's it's it's also about targeting some things as anxiety depression but it's also about taking you as you are just giving one that boost and being even better and having more energy creativity because this I mean if I'm understanding you this is based essentially on the premise that your body knows what to do and your body knows how to look after and heal itself if we just give it the the tools or if we give it the the building blocks should I say right it should be able to take care of the rest yeah that's pretty much be my approach because I'm not a doctor I'm not a physiologist there's people who understand the human body far better than I do but I know what works for me I work with people on a one-on-one basis in in the health shop so I get feedback from people all the time and unlike well certain practitioners don't like anecdotal reports meaning what a person tells you but I tend to rather prefer to listen to what people tell me about their efforts on certain things that they've taken so yeah I've just provided the body and as much as I can see is needed with some fundamental things which are super potent and super powerful so I've taken ingredients that have the most effect and are needed in the smallest amounts so it's you know if you need something in gram amounts and I can't put it into a capsule it's not gonna make it into the nootropic multi so I've taken things which are required in small dosages which have a big effect and then yeah let the body and it's it's raw materials so none of what I have are stimulants or depressants so this is when we get into the concept of endogenous once again there's no herbs in our products because herbs can stimulate or depress various biochemical pathways and some people have side effects to certain herbs whereas raw materials you're giving it to your body and then your body will do with it what it needs because your body is to buy an intelligence it knows what it needs to do you see now this is this is this is starting to make more and more sense to me as we as we do this and that's why I wanted to have you along on the show again because you know when we last spoke about about multivitamins neurotropics etc etc it was a big thing overseas but we hadn't really caught on in South Africa and I think you were fairly pioneering in that respect and then obviously COVID hit and when we're talking the other day I said sheesh how did you manage you know to get through this this this whole COVID pandemic because you're essentially a fairly small business did you not get wiped out like so many other people and you kind of went uh-uh no other way around for me tell me about that well I think it was quite coincidental that a lot of the things that I put into the new tropic has actually been well now we're getting into territory where I'm making claims or but there's a lot of ingredients which can be quite beneficial such as interstitial cysteine which is a mucolytic so get rid of mucus in your lungs interstitial cysteine is also an antiviral it's an immune booster so that's one of the main ingredients in this new topic during the COVID times we all heard by the importance of vitamin D and zinc these are all in here so it's it's it's just something that's good for basic basic health and for immune system so a lot of people came in looking for something specifically for COVID and the new topic multi obviously would be a good foundation for overall health and it's yeah so there's that and also I am like you say this is a new business and I'm still in the research and development phase still making labels so it's not like we've been a massive business and business has been cut it's it's people have become more interested in helping themselves so I think the business is just naturally growing because it's it's it's all about helping people really it's it's not it's not so much about money as it is about actually being a sex and helping people I think it was just an actual natural progression yeah that's and that's one of the things that has has struck me about you is you're so passionate about the business and and I've never once in the times that we've had our chats never once would you go well dude I'm gonna flog as much as of this stuff as I can and make my millions and retire and go in subpoena coladas on the beach it's always been about helping people we're gonna take another break now when we come back we're gonna continue our chat with Rob Beerington and he is the founder of the new atropic multi back in a bit this is what's involved hey like what you're hearing share the podcast with your family and friends and spread the word this is what's involved and we're back turning to my specialist Rob Beerington from the new tropic multi so you say it's all about about helping people you've been doing this this for a while do you have different kinds of new tropics or you know because something says to me it can't really be a one size fits all although one size could fit a lot do you have different variants of it so I did start out with the idea of one size fits all and the initial interrupt I made is quite strong actually so a lot of people really enjoyed that and a lot of people really did for some people it was like whoa no this is too stimulating so what I then did is I embarked in a process of making it calming it down and I calmed it down to such an extent that the next product that I made was total died and nobody could feel anything yeah so then then I up that I made a second version of that one and then I made a third version of that one and then I realized oh hang on I've actually got two products yeah I've got one which is more calming so that took three versions to make and then I settled on that and then I gave it a teal color of blue-green so that's more the calming one and then I went back to the original formula that I had and I thought okay this is a good one but let's calm it down a bit so then in making the teal I uncovered another ingredient called connoiseen which tends to just calm things down quite a bit and even out those spikes I would say so I took the original formula put in some alcano scene changed a few other things and ended up with two products one teal which is the more calming one and then one purple which is a bit more energizing and better for focus so that was a foundation and I sat with those two for a while but I am and I have subsequently produced another one which is a gold one and I'm busy with another two maybe three in the rain oh okay now you see I thought I was very special because I sort of seen the gold one and I've gotten a couple of samples haven't actually and I know what you're gonna say this is this is bad but because I've been so busy I haven't been taking them which is exactly when I should be taking them but okay but the gold one you say has got yet more advancements in it so so how would we know because you do a lot of yourselves that people can either come and see you if they pop into to the health shop that you're at or they can order online now how do you know which one you need so I am gonna do be doing a better write-up so that as to explain people a better how to choose which one to choose as I myself am I understanding this product better so but generally I would say if one is sleep issues or once looking for two or irritability or just looking to relax and go with a teal as a teal also helps people sleep at night better if one has any sleep issues I wouldn't try necessarily the purple or even the gold the purple is more for people who want a little bit more Voma a little bit more drive and in the gold it's difficult to say it is a bit of trial and error and it's but the gold I would describe and a lot of people described it as uplifting so the gold is very good for people who struggle to wake up in the morning I found it actually particularly good for the window especially with long-term use it has the gold hasn't in an ingredient called DM a damn ethos amino ethanol it's an old-school neotropic one of my favorites but I used when I was in my 20s and yeah so it's quite stimulating and overall I would say no I don't think there's a wrong one to choose because I've all got the same base ingredients with one ingredient edge that you has got more carnosine the purple has got carnosine but also I'll carnitine the gold has DME so they are slightly different there are 24 ingredients more or less with one ingredient change but it is also a course and I think that's very important to remember is that it's not ideally I wouldn't take it just once the idea with a new tropic malty is to take it correctly three consecutive months and in that time one should definitely be able to see which one works best for one's particular body all right now you've got you've got some amazing stories to tell about people who've been taking this product right from people who've taken in and gone this is the best thing ever to people who've gone well I've been taking it but I don't notice much change and then when you question them about how they're feeling what they're doing etc etc suddenly it's like a light comes on the go hang on no there has been a change just give us a couple of examples so a lot of the time so let's just go back a bit I think also very importantly sometimes when people don't feel it it might be because they're taking it as a protein so there are amino acids in the new tropic malty and protein is made above them but if one takes it with a protein meal they'll be competition for crossing the blood-brain barrier so I think a lot of the time a person is taking it with proteins for is it's best with carbohydrates or on an empty stomach so it's also one of the best only multivitamins I can take on an empty stomach without making causes so that's the one the other thing is that was gonna say that was gonna be my question because you try and take multivitamins first thing in the morning on an empty stomach doesn't it well you don't say and this one you reckon you can no problem yeah well I intermittent fast I never have breakfast well I wouldn't say never but I usually don't have breakfast so I have this on an empty stomach and it works great I've had people tell me it works best with food any sort of carbohydrates but not with proteins so any stomach is brilliant works great okay now some some of the other sort of success stories that you've had because I believe you've had success with people suffering from various complaints and things like ADD and all of those kind of things talk to me a little bit about that okay cool so so just to quickly answer your question again about people saying it doesn't work and then then I question them so for example I've asked people so how's it going with you sleep and they're like oh no I'm sleeping better I'm like how's it going with you mood they're like I feel great you know guys smiling whereas like two weeks before it was like just morose okay it could be just the day but this thing is quite subtle but not so subtle so it's kind of like when one gains weight you see yourself in the mirror every day and one doesn't really see how one's getting bigger and bigger I think it's the same with the new topic people take it and has a subtle influence on one's sense of well-being what I've tried to do with it is is restore equilibrium so restore balance in the body and because that's being achieved also with diet and exercise and the whole protocol it leads to many benefits you know I've had people say to me that it's helped them with their heart members I've had people come off of Ritalin in a week you know and I'm not specifically promoting it as such but these are the kind of things that have happened I've got a rehab using my stuff now and it's helping people there I've had people come off epilepsy and listen with it so you know we live in a culture where you can't really make claims unless you're a doctor or a pharmacist but I'm just telling you what's what I've observed you know so it's done a lot of good for a lot of people and I think for me if I can speak for myself it's calmed me down a lot it's helped me listen to people it's helped me just be okay with who I am it's helped me to be more creative and I think just seems to pop one out of the noise in one's head like that hmm yeah okay now as I'm talking to you I'm kind of asking I want to ask like a hundred more questions what I'm gonna do is we're gonna take another quick break and when we come back I'll ask you about some of the new products and then we'll talk a bit about where people can get hold of the product or maybe even use so we'll talk about that it is what's involved back with Rob in just a bit this is what's involved don't forget to subscribe and leave a review more next and we're back with my special guest Rob Berington from the Neutropic multi so let's start off with because I thought I knew everything that was happening with the gold being the one that we were talking about now you say you've got ideas for some other products so what's in the pipeline okay so the gold also I made because people were telling me they couldn't feel it and I was like no take it for longer but you know a lot of people want to really quick fix quick feel sort of thing so the gold was an evolution from the teal and purple to something people will feel a lot so the gold one is more more typically new tropic it's more immediate effect that one would feel then I've you know in dealing with with patients and and and people with health issues and then dealing with people in the shop we've got anxiety and depression I also do better counseling here and there I've I've come to see that a lot of people who've got such things going on have sleep issues and in fact a lot of people have sleep issues one of the major contributors to that I think is caffeine people underestimate what caffeine does to the quality of one's sleep because caffeine is a very long half-life so I've been working on a sleep formula for a while that's quite different obviously there's no herbs in there all of my range on endogenous so there's no herbs so there's no valerian there's no melatonin which is another commonly used one for sleep formulas it does I've used magnesium and I've used a couple of things from the new tropic multi from the multi vitamin and so that should be coming out in the next two months I've been working on that for a few years so I'm excited we're just working on the labels now getting a lid custom designing a colored lid so yeah that's a sleep formula and then after that I'm gonna be doing a gut formula the gut is off the brain and I've got all of my formulas and tropics even my sleep formula is a new topic my gut formula will be a new topic as well and in fact it's got another fascinating ingredient in there called in acetal D glucosamine which is just so good for so many things I struggle to call it a gut formula cuz I'm gonna have its little support skin health joint health gut health high health so a whole bunch of things wonderful okay now just on that question because you mentioned you know in terms of if you were to suggest something to somebody you would say okay take the new topic and then add magnesium for example right what about zinc does zinc play a role so zinc is in the new topic multi in sleep I'm not so sure apparently it can but I haven't had firsthand experience with it but what I can tell you is that people who take the new topic multi the teal commonly report back that the sleep is better so I think because it's bringing about equilibrium and relaxing the inflammation in the body I think it's really there's no clinical trials to say that that seems to be what it's doing so the teal just helps people with sleep overall and in general but yeah the my sleep formula won't have anything because I'm designing them to work together so that you'll get your zinc from the multivitamin in the morning and then you can do the sleep one at night okay cool now burning question if people would like to to get hold of one of these products what is the single best place to go to you www.the newtropic multi.com again newtropic is in double o t r o p i c that's a job then and if somebody's got questions and they want to get hold of of young rob is there is there a good contact point what do you tell me if I can email me I can tell me direct I'm always happy to speak to people and once their phone calls and answer the questions but you're either via the other website or just all right so the website we can get hold of you directly and you will be able to get back to us yes wonderful stuff so that's the new tropic multi.com go and check it out is the gold is the gold one on the site as well gold ones on the site I should be getting my 3d rendering of the silver later today or tomorrow so that will be on there so that one can see it yeah so I think in the next and I'm upgrading all my old labels so within the next year I'll have my full range I want to keep the range fairly simple but cover as many bases as possible wonderful stuff well I can I can tell you from first-hand experience that the product certainly do work what I like about what Rob does is that there's not a there's not filler as often you get some of these products that claim to do X Y & Z but there's so little of the active ingredient in it and the bulk of it is made up of filler because people go well you know the bigger the tablet the better I know for a fact that Rob does not ascribe to that so you're getting only the best quality highest quality ingredients in there so give him a shout the new Tropic multi comm before I let you go Rob you've done all of this stuff you've done this research what's next for you I mean what is next in your your world your vision so I mean my brand is is my life this new Tropic is my life I've been working on it for long so I'm slowly moving out from the R&D phase which I've been busy with for long so I'm looking forward to moving from working in my business working on my business so once the R&D is all done I think another year or so I'm gonna be doing a lot more talking and starting my podcast and moving into doing more counseling with people so just more of what I'm doing but more of an actual business owner rather than working in a business yeah I just want to people sharing having fun and just connecting with people it's it's like it's that's what it's all about at the end of the day you know it's relationship people so I just want to get myself more involved in that answering people's emails directly yeah I'm just growing the business and having people do the stuff on my business that I don't do so well so I'm working with a professional crew of friends who are helping me in new ways and just I guess handing over the business people and as much as I can so that I can focus on being the creator making it fun and then also building it for longevity so that if I'm not here one day that my friends who are running it can can carry on because I want to think the last I think it'll do a lot of good things for people I am I have high goals for this thing I'd like it everywhere because I think it can help everyone I think it's a simple one to help oneself wonderful stuff and yeah I'm looking forward to the podcast any any sort of ideas on when that's gonna start well I'm working on a label design logo design I've got all my equipment I've got some ideas I'm actually starting my first into my first podcast tomorrow so that'll be fun that's with a good friend of mine Pierre he's an absolute genius in terms of nutrition and he works with people he does live blood analysis so he gets a lot of one-on-one feedback in fact he probably knows more about the new topic multi than I do because he works with people on a very intimate basis so we're going to talk about the liver and how that relates to mental illness and psychosis and that sort of thing so yeah we're starting on Friday I don't know how professional it will be and we might help but yeah it's gonna be fun and I think I'm just I'm just gonna have fun I'm just gonna make it fun and if it's fun I think the work you know wonderful stuff well Rob we wish you all the best mate and thanks for taking the time out and having a chat to us again thank you so much it's
