Norma Young — Journalist, Author, Business Woman
Show notes
On this episode I chat with Norma about her book We need More Tables - Navigating Privilege In the Face Of Poverty.
This is an incredible book and in my opinion a must read.
Digital media has opened up the options available for communication, and over the past few years, Norma has particularly enjoyed multimedia content creation and production. From podcasts to bespoke video channels to social media stories, she’s found it to be an exciting time to be in the field of communicating and connecting.
Most recently, Norma headed up the digital department for Ndalo Media, a South African publishing company that focused on business news, career and entrepreneurial content. One of her career highlights was interviewing former public protector and TIME 100 honoree, Thuli Madonsela. This was for the October 2016 cover of Destiny magazine. Unfortunately, Ndalo Media became insolvent and is currently under liquidation.
Consequently, since February 2019, Norma has been freelancing as a Writer and Editor.
